Here's What's New In The World Of Investing...

The Daily Dividend 6/9/25

In partnership with

Two dividend announcements to start the week off. And since there isn’t a whole lot of other market news, today’s dispatch also highlights three meta-plays on investing itself.

Let’s start with the dividend announcements,,,

Three Publicly Traded Exchanges

A lot of investment news is temporary. At the time of writing, some of the most recent market stories are: China importing soybeans, Markel Insurance getting a new executive, and the ever-present trade war.

These types of stories are generally tough to profit from. However, there is one sector that’s a meta-play on investing itself and allows investors to benefit from increased trading activity. What is the mystery industry? Exchanges. The Nasdaq, NYSE, and most major commodity markets are all publicly traded.

Here are their tickers, if you’re interested:

  • CME Group Inc. ($CME) - The world’s largest commodities trading platform, CME Group operates markets for oil, soybeans, corn, gold, and many other commodities.

  • Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. ($ICE) - Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. owns the New York Stock Exchange. This is a meta-play on NYSE listed companies like Berkshire Hathaway and Visa.

  • Nasdaq, Inc. ($NDAQ) - Nasdaq, Inc. owns the Nasdaq stock exchange. This is a meta-play on many tech stocks like Amazon and Netflix, which are listed on the Nasdaq exchange.

All three exchanges pay dividends. And it’s worth researching them further if you’re looking for an investment that benefits from short-term trade volatility.
