We’ve got energy firms, insurance companies, and financial institutions all raising their dividends at a rate that outpaces inflation. In fact, one stock is hiking its distribution by almost 15%.

Atmos Energy Corporation ($ATO) Raises Dividend By 14.9%

Most natural gas utilities raise their dividend by a few percentage points each year. Atmos Energy Corporation consistently hikes its distributions by 8% or more.

Atmos Energy Corporation is a natural gas distributor that serves over 3.3 million residential customers. The company operates 73,689 miles of underground distribution and transmission mains. And, Atmos has been in business since 1906.

Last week, the firm announced a 14.9% dividend increase.

Atmos Energy Corporation will now pay a $1.00/share quarterly distribution.

  • Forward starting dividend yield: 2.26%

F&G Annuities & Life, Inc. ($FG) Raises Dividend By 13.6%

F&G Annuities & Life, Inc. sells life insurance and annuity products. The company has been in business since 1959 and has served over one million customers.

Last Friday, F&G announced a 13.6% increase to its quarterly payout. This is the firm’s largest dividend raise since going public in 2022.

F&G Annuities & Life, Inc. will now pay a $0.25/share quarterly dividend.

  • Payout date: 12/31/25

  • Forward starting dividend yield: 3.25%

Nelnet, Inc. ($NNI) Raises Dividend By 10%

Student loans are always a hot button issue. But most people don’t realize who services these loans.

Nelnet, Inc. is the official servicer of Federal Student Aid loans. This company processes loans for the Department of Education as well as student loans issued by commercial lenders. Nelnet handles about half of all student loan payments in the United States.

This is a wide moat business, but one that the majority of investors have never heard of.

Despite flying under the radar, Nelnet has a 5-year compound annual dividend growth rate of 7.34% and Nelnet shares have consistently beaten the market over the past decade.

On Friday, the firm announced a 10% dividend raise.

Nelnet, Inc. will now pay a $0.33/share quarterly dividend.
