The company was founded by Henry J. Kaiser, the industrialist known for his role in building the Hoover Dam and producing Liberty ships during World War II.

A. O. Smith Corporation ($AOS) Declares $0.36 Dividend
A. O. Smith Corporation manufactures residential and commercial water heaters, along with water treatment products.
The company dates back to 1874, when Charles J. Smith founded it to produce parts for baby carriages. Since then, it has continuously evolved, building the first fully automated automobile frame assembly plant in 1921 and producing 4.5 million bombs, aircraft propellers, and landing gear during World War II.
Today, A. O. Smith is primarily focused on water heating and treatment solutions.
The company recently announced its latest distribution.
