PPG Industries, Inc. ($PPG) Raises Dividend By 4.4%
Paints and coatings are stable sources of dividend income. In fact, it’s an industry Warren Buffett loves, as evident by Berkshire Hathaway’s purchase of Benjamin Moore.
PPG Industries, Inc. is a Dividend King that operates in the paint and coating sector. The company produces retail brands like Comex and Sigma. But, PPG also creates paints, coatings, and finishes that are used in the automotive industry and on commercial airliners.
Last week, PPG Industries announced its 508th consecutive dividend payment.
Additionally, this dividend is higher than the last. PPG Industries hiked their payout by 4.4%, giving the company 52 years of uninterrupted dividend growth.
PPG Industries, Inc. will now pay a $0.71/share quarterly dividend.
Ex-dividend date: 8/11/2025
Payout date: 9/12/2025
Forward starting dividend yield: 2.48%
Portland General Electric Company ($POR) Declares $0.525 Dividend
Portland General Electric Company has been in business since 1889. The company generates, transmits and distributes electricity to over 950,000 customers in the state of Oregon.
This is a fairly high-yield utility stock that typically raises its dividend by around 5% per year.
And while the company isn’t hiking its distribution this quarter, Portland General Electric Company has declared a $0.525/share quarterly dividend that is in-line with the previous payment.
Ex-dividend date: 9/25/25
Payout date: 10/15/25
Forward starting dividend yield: 5.25%
Schlumberger Limited ($SLB) Declares $0.285 Dividend

Schlumberger Limited is an “energy technology” company that drills for oil, services drilling equipment, and monitors reservoir performance. The company is the largest offshore drilling firm in the world. And, Schlumberger has been in business for almost 100 years.
Recently, the firm announced its latest dividend.
Schlumberger Limited will pay a $0.285/share quarterly distribution, in-line with previous.
Ex-dividend date: 9/3/25
Payout date: 10/9/25
Forward starting dividend yield: 3.29%
