Logistics companies never seem to get much attention in the dividend investing community. Yet, this sector contains some interesting gems that consistently raise their payouts.
Case in point, Ryder System, Inc. which has paid a dividend every year for the past 49 years. And, Ryder has a 5-year compound annual dividend growth rate of 7.66%.
The firm recently announced its latest dividend raise.
Ryder System, Inc. hiked its distribution by 12.3%. And the company will now pay a $0.91/share quarterly dividend.
Ex-dividend date: 8/18/2025
Payout date: 9/19/2025
Forward starting dividend yield: 2.09%
Albertsons Companies, Inc. ($ACI) Declares $0.15 Dividend
Although overshadowed by The Kroger Co., Albertsons Companies, Inc. is a major grocery chain that’s been in business since 1860. Albertsons operates multiple supermarket chains, including: Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, and Balducci's Food Lovers Market.
Early this morning, the company announced its latest payment.
Albertsons will pay a $0.15/share quarterly dividend, in-line with previous distribution.
Ex-dividend date: 7/25/25
Payout date: 8/8/25
Forward starting dividend yield: 2.71%
Vulcan Materials Company ($VMC) Declares $0.49 Dividend
Dating back to 1909, Vulcan Materials Company produces and supplies construction aggregates. These materials include: asphalt, crushed stone, and concrete.
Peter Lynch once described aggregate as one of his favorite investment sectors, stating:
“[I]f you’ve got the only gravel pit in Brooklyn, you’ve got a virtual monopoly, plus the added protection of the unpopularity of rock pits.”
As an investment, Vulcan Materials Company has provided inflation-beating dividend growth with a 5-year compound annual dividend growth rate of 7.89%.
And, the company recently announced its latest dividend.
Vulcan Materials Company will pay a $0.49/share quarterly dividend that is in-line with the previous distribution.
