The Daily Dividend 5/20/25
“No news is good news,” as they say. And that may be true when it comes to avoiding wars or natural disasters. But it is a problem when you’re researching stocks and looking for interesting new businesses that consistently raise their dividends.
I bring this up because there hasn’t been much dividend news over the past day or so.
However, there are a few companies issuing new payouts. These include a major bank, a high-yield Dividend King, and one of the biggest players in the seed oil business.
Let’s get alphabetical with today’s round-up…
Bunge Global SA ($BG) Declares $0.70 Dividend
Bunge is one of the largest agribusinesses in the world and the world’s leading producer and supplier of specialty plant-based oils. This is a company that plays a key role in the global food supply. And there’s actually a fascinating book about Bunge, and its rivals, called Merchants of Grain, by Dan Morgan.
Back on topic, Bunge recently declared all four of its quarterly dividend payments for 2025.
The next quarterly dividend payment is $0.70/share, in-line with the previous distribution.
Ex-dividend date: 8/19/2025
Payout date: 9/2/2025
Forward starting dividend yield: 3.43%
Hormel Foods Corporation ($HRL) Declares $0.29 Dividend
Here’s a food stock that’s seldom discussed.
Hormel Foods Corporation owns over 40 different food brands that rank #1 or #2 in their respective categories. These include: Hormel Pepperoni, Skippy Peanut Butter, and SPAM.
Additionally, Hormel Foods is a Dividend King with 58 years of consecutive dividend growth. And while the company typically raises its dividend in November, Hormel has announced an upcoming payout.
Hormel Foods will pay a $0.29/share quarterly dividend, in-line with the previous distribution.
Ex-dividend date: 7/14/2025
Payout date: 8/15/2025
Forward starting dividend yield: 3.85%
JPMorgan Chase & Co. ($JPM) Declares $1.40 Dividend
JPMorgan Chase is the largest bank in the United States. It’s also a market-beating dividend growth stock with a 10-year average annual total return of 17.99% and a 5-year dividend CAGR of 7.61%.
And yesterday, the company announced its next dividend.
JPMorgan Chase will pay a $1.40/share quarterly dividend, in-line with the previous distribution.
Ex-dividend date: 7/3/2025
Payout date: 7/31/2025
Forward starting dividend yield: 2.11%
